In an attempt to improve team bonding, Manchester united star player Wayne Rooney has installed the Christmas spirit in his teammates by taking them on a trip to London. The group was seen having fun at the winter wonderland in London.

This was after united team manager José Mourinho gave the team two days off, Mourinho was impressed with the team’s performance last weekend at west Bromwich Albion. The manager who will not be joining the squad n their little vacation himself has planned to spend his Christmas time in Manchester at the Lowry hotel.

Rooney arranged the trip travelled alongside other members of the team Michael Carrick, the club’s third choice goalkeeper Sam Johnson, Jesse Lingard, Chris Smaalling, Phil Jones, and Marcus Rashford to London.

The team had arrived at Hyde Park at a family event that featured ice dancing and other festive attractions. Unlike some of the more raucous celebrations over the years that the Premier League players have participated in, the event seemed to be a very tame and Christmas themed outing.

The players were reported to have been seen relaxing at the winter wonderland’s Bavarian village and one of the fans said: “They were chilling in the VIP area and having drink. When some of them decided to go to another part of the park, there was loads of security around them.”

Not all of the united players were able to make the trip as some of them decided not to go and player Marounne Fellaini went to Milan were he is considering a possible move in January to Serie A around the transfer window.

After a fun time at the park and a much needed vacation, Rooney and his teammates returned to training in preparation for their fixtures as they are set to play on Boxing Day and on the new year’s eve against Middleborough.
