PSG Interested In Rooney

The French side PSG is believed to be interested in signing Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney and they would be even considering in a swap deal involving Rooney and Edinson Cavani.

Edinson Cavani has made fairly decent performances ever since he made his move to PSG but with a price tag of around €64 million, the Uruguyan has not lived up to his astronomically high transfer fee.

Rooney was appointed with the captaincy armband a few weeks ago and this evidence of just how important the English attacker is for Louis van Gaal. Van Persie, Rooney and David de Gea seem to be the untouchable players at Old Trafford with no price or offer being enough to even consider Manchester United on letting them go.

But if Louis van Gaal is unable to get positive results quickly then major changes are expected to take place. After 2 matches of the Premier League, United are located at the 13th spot having collected 1 point so far. This is not the way that Louis van Gaal wanted to start his managerial career in charge of Manchester United and this is even affecting Wayne Rooney.

Rooney was selected as the captain of the squad for the years to come but with so many negative results, supporters are asking themselves if the Englishman was the right choice. Captains are expected to inspire their respective teams through tough times and turn into figures that can put the weight of the club in their shoulders but this is not what is happening with Rooney at Old Trafford.

David Moyes was the scapegoat of the media as everyone was blaming him for the underwhelming season of Manchester United in the previous campaign but so far, things are going just as bad as before but without having Moyes around who is going to take the blame? What needs to be done for United to turn into the world-class club that they once were?

The pressure continues to rise and not only for Louis van Gaal but also for Wayne Rooney as the captain needs to prove why he was chosen to be one of the main leaders not only inside but also outside of the pitch as well.

Wenger has £100m for Summer Window Spending

Arsenal manager Arsene Wegner seems not to sure to sign his new contract with them and is expected to make his pick depending on how the team performs. Meanwhile the club has decided to give him £100 million for the summer transfers, however only the outcome of the team’s performance will decide whether he sticks on to this current club or not. Nevertheless Arsenal seems much assertive that Arsene is sure to extend his contract, most probably by at least three years. It seems that he will in no way hamper his finals two months preparations for this season for legal contract related negotiations.

It has been reported that while talking with Ivan Gazidis, the manager has indicated a strong desire to stay in touch with Arsenal’s Chief Executive, but only the delivered outcome will be the determining factor behind whether he would like to step into a 3rd decade with arsenal.

By far the favorites this year to bag the FA Cup and hence end this nine year long wait to get the cup. Their derby win on this Sunday versus Tottenham Hotspur is also an indicator that Wenger might consider lengthening his tenure with the club. On the other side, however if they fail to bag the trophy now, this is going to be single most disappointing moment of Wegner’s long 18 years with Arsenal. He has suggested time and again that he will defiantly not want to stay with the club anymore if they underperform and he lost significance.

At the moment, Barcelona and Paris St Germain both seem viable option to shift this summer, however Wenger seems most convinced that he would steadily want to finish his tenure with Arsenal avoiding any sort of negotiation details.
